Why are the cushion holes in tires? The holes in the tires absorb some of the impact from the rough terrain and that helps reduce operator fatigue and it also helps prevent spillage of the contents in the bucket. If you are spilling dirt out of your bucket, or dropping bricks off of a pallet fork on the jobsite then you are losing efficiency.
