This is the smaller roller at the top of the undercarriage in the center to support the weight of the rubber track from sagging down into your track frame. On these larger models there are actually two top rollers spaced out to help with the weight of the track and keep it on the guiding system.
The blue arrow on the image references where this roller is installed on your Volvo. There should be two top rollers per side on your EC160 through EC240 series and they are spaced out across the top of the undercarriage. There is no additional hardware required for installation, simply unscrew the old roller and insert the new roller and tighten.
