Why are the cushion holes in the tires? Again, our focus is on high quality and safety when it comes to tires, so the cushion holes provide several key features that the rigorous construction industry has come to expect. The holes in the tires absorb some of the impact from the rough terrain and which helps reduce operator fatigue and it also helps prevent spillage of the contents in the bucket. If you are spilling dirt out of your bucket or dropping bricks off of a pallet fork on the job site, then you are losing efficiency. Solid skid steer tires help prevent flats and blowouts but at a cost of flexibility and impact absorption. The cushion holes help restore some of the flexibility and absorb some of the impacts that an air tire would typically provide.
